The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce held a Progress Through People Luncheon at noon on Thursday, Jan. 22 at the Liberty County College and Career Academy located at 245 Dorsey Rd.The luncheon featured the Liberty County Development Authority as they discussed their accomplishments in 2014 and upcoming plans in 2015. The luncheon was catered by the culinary students of the Liberty County College and Career Academy.
CEO Ron Tolley of the Liberty County Development Authority presented to a crowd of nearly 70 highlighting the immense industrial growth in Liberty County in 2014 and over the last three decades. Fred Tucker from SNF Holding Company also spoke about the Manufacturing Collaboration that was formed in 2014 in Liberty County. The Manufacturing Collaboration is a group of Liberty County, Georgia’s most prestigious manufacturing companies that have partnered together to focus on the unique issues and common goals of the local manufacturing sector. The collaboration provides apprenticeships for high school and college students in the manufacturing field.
