The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce 2017-2018 Leadership Liberty class had their State Government session in February, hosted by Representative Al Williams (D-Midway) and Georgia Power Headquarters. The class toured the State Capitol building and met with Representative Williams. The class also visited the Georgia Power headquarters building and toured the Storm Center and the Social Media Center. Thank you to Representative Al Williams and local Georgia Power sponsor Randy Mayfield for hosting our class this year!
We had a fun time celebrating a ribbon cutting and grand opening for Great Clips at 863 W. Oglethorpe Hwy, Suite 250 (Oglethorpe Square Shopping Center) in Hinesville. Great Clips offers quality and affordable salon services with online check-in options through their app.
The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce 2017-2018 Leadership Liberty class had their Public Education session on January 31st. The class was hosted by the Liberty County School System where they met with Interim Superintendent Dr. Franklin Perry, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning Susan Avant and the IT & Communications Coordinator Cathy Lane. The class visited Liberty Elementary School and received tours guided by their student STEM Program ambassadors. They also visited Liberty County High School’s fine arts classrooms and Bradwell Institute’s fine arts and science classrooms (tour led by 2018 Senior Class President). The class also visited and toured the Liberty College & Career academy classrooms & building and was also treated to lunch catered by the associates of the Liberty College & Career Academy Culinary Arts Program. Thank you to the Liberty County School System for planning and hosting this class each year.
We had a great time celebrating a ribbon cutting and grand opening for Carpathia Paws at 1618 Airport Rd (located behind the tennis courts on Airport Road) in Hinesville. This animal rescue organization is a team of volunteers in Liberty County who work together in rescuing, adopting, and donating their time to educate others about their cause to eliminate the neglect, abuse and abandonment of animals.
The 2018 Annual Chamber Banquet & Taste of Liberty was held on January 25th at 740 General Stewart Way, Suite 103 (the old Veterans Clinic beside Coldwell Banker Holtzman, Realtors) in Hinesville.
