Come out and enjoy all of the Christmas festivities in Liberty County.
Tractor Supply Company held a ribbon cutting on Friday, Nov. 14th for its new Hinesville store located at 766 W. Oglethorpe Hwy. Store manager Matt Gerig welcomed staff, Chamber staff and members of the community to the event. Gerig presented donations to several local organizations to show Tractor Supply Company’s commitment to the local community. Tractor Supply company made contributions to Liberty County 4-H, Liberty County Future Farmers of America (FFA) and the local chapter of the Association of the United States Army.
The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce held its annual Membership Appreciation Low Country Boil & Oyster Roast for its members on Oct. 17th at Bryant Commons in Hinesville, which was presented by Ameris Bank. Members enjoyed a low country boil and oysters prepared by The Shell House. Liberty County Chamber of Commerce Members enjoyed an evening of food and fun.
The CVB hosted a wrap party for the cast and crew of the film “Ben & Ara,” which used Liberty County as a shooting location. Lots of locals got to be extras in the film and the the cast enjoyed their stay here. We hope they will come back again soon! Thanks to the Dorchester Village Civic Center for letting us use their facility for the party and thanks to Exit 76 for providing the music!
The October Business After Hours was held on Thur. October 23, 2014 at Dan Vaden Nissan in Flemington. Business leaders from the community enjoyed food and fun sponsored by Dan Vaden Nissan and the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce.
This Progress Through People Luncheon was hosted by the Liberty County Convention and Visitors Bureau. They invited directors from some of Liberty County’s historical and cultural sites to speak as part of a panel discussion. The panelists included Jim Bacote of Geechee Kunda, Michelle Ricketson of the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority, Mayor Bill Austin of the Dorchester Academy Association and Diane Kroell of the Midway Museum.
