We had a great time celebrating a Grand Opening for Parker’s Store #60 (Walthourville Store) on Monday, October 24th at their new location 5890 W. Oglethorpe Hwy in Walthourville. The store features quality Parker’s gas, a hot deli serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, a drive thru, as well as the company’s signature Chewy Ice, fountain drinks, freshly brewed tea and lemonade, gourmet coffee and much more.
We had a wonderful time celebrating an Open House for First Presbyterian Christian Academy (FPCA) on Thursday, October 20th at their location 308 E. Court Street in Hinesville. FPCA is a Christian-centered, college preparatory school for grades Pre-K to 12th grade. They pride themselves on small classroom sizes, hands-on learning and a customized learning plan for each individual student. FPCA is fully accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
The Young Adult Leadership Liberty 2016-2017 class was hosted by the City of Hinesville on Thursday, October 20th. The class participants were able to meet with Mayor Allen Brown, tour the facility and learn about our city government. The class toured the fire department and had a lot of fun dressing up in the fire prevention gear. In addition, the police department met with the class and they were able to explore a squad car and a holding cell.
We had a terrific time celebrating a grand opening for Kings of Steem at their ribbon cutting on Wednesday, October 19th, 2016. A homebased business, they elected to host their event at a local park. This locally-owned and operated business serves as a one-stop shop for Liberty county and surrounding areas in professional carpet, tile, wood floor, VCT and upholstery cleaning at competitive prices.
We had a great time celebrating a ribbon cutting for Into the Sun Tanning Salon at their Midway location on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 21 Isle of Wight Road, Suite E. The salon is under new ownership and is now offering red light therapy sessions in addition to tanning and spray tanning sessions. The salon is also now featuring merchandise from a local retailer.
The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce held its annual Membership Appreciation Low Country Boil & Oyster Roast for its members on October 14th, at Bryant Commons in Hinesville. The event was presented by Ameris Bank and the event bar sponsor was Exit Team Realty.
Members enjoyed dinner prepared by the Shellhouse, a cornhole tournament, mingling and live music.
