Chamber members had a wonderful time networking at the May Business After Hours hosted by VIP Office Furniture & Supply on Thursday, May 18th at their store located at 109 Central Avenue in downtown Hinesville.
A special thank you to our workshop facilitators: Director Mike Hodges, Deputy Director Larry Logan, and Captain Brian Darby of the Liberty County Emergency Management Agency, for facilitating an informative workshop! Participants from the community, Diversity Health Center, and Dunham Farms learned strategies and helpful tips for preventing lost revenue, protecting their investment, and protecting their employees. Thank you to Ameris Bank for the use of their Community Board Room.
The CVB staff hosted our first ever realtor familiarization tour as part of the celebration of National Travel & Tourism Week. We invited local realtors to tour historical and recreational spots in Liberty County so that they could show them off to potential home buyers.
We tracked all over Liberty County to give these historical marker signs their annual freshening. Each one marks a significant historic site or occurrence. We cleaned 17 markers in all with a gentle cleanser and some good old fashioned elbow grease!
We wanted to show our appreciation to our tourism partners at our historic sites and hotels during National Travel & Tourism Week, so packed some special cups with tea and peach candy and made some deliveries. It was a small way to thank them for all they do to welcome visitors to Liberty County!
We had a fun time celebrating a grand opening and ribbon cutting for Tammy’s Restaurant & Lounge. They are located at 818 E.G. Miles Parkway in Hinesville. Tammy’s is a locally-owned and operated restaurant that provides a weekend lounge space for parties and live-music events. This military veteran-owned business has themed weekend events in addition to daily menu specials!
