April is right around the corner, and so are tons are fun events in Liberty County!  From hunting eggs to celebrating the Earth, there are plenty of family friendly things to do next month.  It’s time to round up the crew and go out and enjoy yourselves at these 4 family friendly events.

The Big Easter Hunt

Bryant Commons, Hinesville GA

April 8, 2017 10am-2pm

Enjoy some Easter festivities at The Big Easter Hunt in Hinesville. Your kiddos will love filling their baskets full of eggs at Bryant Commons and there is sure to be plenty to go around. The Hinesville Downtown Development Authority is hiding 10,000 eggs for children to find! There will be live
music, food and hay rides for the family to take part of and the Easter Bunny is also set to make an appearance!

2nd Annual Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt

Irene B. Thomas Park, Hinesville GA

April 8, 2017 10am-1pm

For any families who may have children with special needs, check out the Hinesville Fire Department’s Easter Egg Hunt for children with special needs. Head over to Irene B. Thomas Park in Hinesville for this egg hunt, a petting zoo and train rides! You can also get up close with a fire truck!

 

The Gathering

Geechee Kunda, Riceboro GA

April 15, 2017 11am-5pm

The Gathering at Geechee Kunda in Riceboro is sure to be an experience to remember! This cultural event will feature arts & crafts, exhibits and storytelling all about the Gullah Geechee community and history. Bring along the entire family for some free family activities and listen to the Gullah Geechee Shouters! Be sure you plan to stay for a meal, Mr. Bacote’s cooking will make you want to never leave!

 

11th Annual Earth Day Celebration

YMCA Soccer Fields, Hinesville GA

April 21, 2017 3:30pm-6:30pm

Celebrate Earth Day with Keep Liberty Beautiful at the YMCA in Hinesville. With over 70 booths and exhibits your family will love learning about preserving our planet, organic gardening and geocaching in Liberty County. The kids will love meeting all of the costumed characters and participating in the free family activities! Food vendors will also be present, so bring your appetite!
