4th of July in the Sweet Land of Liberty
Celebrate Independence Day Liberty County style with two free events!
The 4th of July is certainly a reason to celebrate in a land called Liberty County. With two signers of the Declaration of Independence and Revolutionary War Generals James Screven and Daniel Stewart under our belt, you’d better believe we love freedom.
Our proud soldiers of the 3rd Infantry Division invite the public to celebrate a Salute to the Nation with a performance by the 3rd ID Band and the best fireworks in the low country. Fort Stewart will celebrate the nation’s birthday on July 4 on Cottrell Field with a Salute to the Nation. The event will feature patriotic music by the 3rdID Band and a 50-gun salute. The artillery battery will fire one round for each of the 50 states as the Voice of the Marne narrator gives a history. A fireworks display will close out the celebration. For more information, call 912-767-6212.
