1.The Coast

Yes, Liberty County has a coast. Actually, we have more marsh wetlands than most coastal counties in Georgia. Head out to Sunbury during golden hour to capture that perfect selfie glow! Or you can take your boat, kayak or anything else onto the water and snap candid shots of how much you’re enjoying our coast!

2. Downtown Hinesville

If you’re looking for brick walls, ivy backdrops or a hidden staircase then head on over to downtown Hinesville. Some of our favorite photographers like Joanna Ng and Katrina Barrow have taken some really cool pics downtown. This is the perfect location for romantic photos, family photos or even snap a foodie pic at Zum Rosenhof or The Brickwall Café! They are both located in the middle of downtown Hinesville.

3. Bryant Commons

Take family or doggo pics at one of our more popular parks, Bryant Commons. This 150-acre passive park features a 15-acre pond, a walking trail and beautiful trees that line the property. Get the best summer selfie laying in the grass or have a fun picnic with the family. The possibilities are never-ending!

4. The Bacon Fraser House

Yes, there are “private property” signs but those are for your protection in case we are not open (we observe actual business hours). Just to keep us all safe, we would rather be around while you take your fun selfies. The plantation plain style architecture, sweeping live oaks draped in moss and all of our gorgeous flowers make for some impressive photos.

5. Historic Site

Historic sites always make for the best, one-of-a-kind photos. We have every scene from trails along the coast to historic buildings built in the 1800s. Snap your selfies behind the bars of our Historic Jail or snap an Insta story of the Midway Museum. For a list of all our historic sites, check out our Things to Do!

6. Dirt Road

Our dirt roads make for some really amazing pics. Whether it’s of the beautiful tree canopies, the sun setting across a field or wildlife crossing your path, we’ll guarantee some insta-success! We are home to one of the oldest most historic dirt roads in our state, Old Sunbury Road, that once connected the Port Town of Sunbury to the States’ Capital in Milledgeville. Come get your boots a little dusty on our picturesque dirt roads!

You don’t need to be a professional photographer to take great pics in Liberty County. Let the natural beauty of our coastal paradise do the work and relish leaving the filter off. For more hidden locations or picturesque places, be sure to check out our other Right Blend blogs.
