Spring is in the air here in Liberty County! The temperatures are amazing and the flowers are blooming. What better way to enjoy spring than putting on your running shoes and participating in one or more of our wonderful walk/run events that are coming up?! March 2nd

Liberty Proud & Healthy 5K

Join the Liberty County Board of Commissioners & the Liberty Proud & Healthy committee for this monthly family fun 5k run/walk. The event will take place at Bryant Commons for the month of March as a collaboration with the Small World Festival.

 

Where: Bryant Commons, 438 W Oglethorpe Hwy, Hinesville, GA

March 9th

Inaugural Ulrick John Foundation 5k

The Ulrick John Foundation 5k will take place in downtown Hinesville. You are invited to do good while having fun and staying healthy. The course for this event will start at the Liberty County Courthouse and will continue down Main St, Memorial Dr., Bradwell St. and then double back.

March 16th

Xplosive Fitness 1st Annual Shamrock Shuffle

The 1st Annual Xplosive Fitness Shamrock Shuffle 5K is in its starting position. Put your running shoes to good use while enjoying the beautiful downtown Hinesville atmosphere. Come out and join them no matter if you run, walk, skip or dance the 3.2 miles.

 

Where: downtown Hinesville

Race Packet Pick up: 8:00am

Start: 9:00am

Registration: $25.00 (finisher medal for each age group, free parking, shirt included, prize for top finisher, free race photo)

March 30th

Helen’s Haven Children’s Advocacy Center 5K Run/Walk

2019 will mark the 8th annual 5K race to benefit Helen’s Haven Children’s Advocacy Center, hosted by the Fraser Counseling Center. Join them by participating in this fundraising race to support the prevention services and therapy offered to children who have experienced child abuse. This year the race has moved to downtown Hinesville in collaboration with the Liberty County Chamber/CVB Food Truck Festival.

Liberty Proud & Healthy 5K

Join the Liberty County Board of Commissioners & the Liberty Proud & Healthy committee for a family fun 5k run/walk at Shuman Rec Center. This event is offered to the community every month free of charge.

Opening and Closing Events are at the Pavilion

The Empower You 5k

The EmpowerYOU channel partnered up with Milaje Fitness to host a city-wide 5K for an all women transition workshop supporting women all across the coastal area on how to hone in on their self-identity, and empower themselves through confidence and overcoming everyday challenges.

WomenHeart Hinesville Every Heart Matters 5k

WomenHeart Hinesville, the Liberty County School System, Liberty Regional Medical Center and the City of Hinesville are teaming up for the inaugural Every Heart Matters 5k. Join them for a run through the park and then stick around for a health fair of local vendors – from medical offices to gyms to nutrition experts – it’s the perfect way to kick off your exercise regimen!
