Walk the Historic Baptismal Trail
The history of Liberty Country runs deep, it’s almost impossible not to find a piece of it to enjoy on a weekend with the family. The Historical Baptismal Trail is one of our favorite places to escape the day to day grind and stress. The beautiful trail takes you through serene pines down to a boardwalk that overlooks the water that was used for over 100 years as a baptismal pool for the nearby church goers. You will definitely leave feeling at peace!
Visit Bryant Commons
Hinesville has become a bustling city with plenty to do and see but one hidden gem that you’ll not want to miss is Bryant Commons. Once the homestead to Senator Bryant and his family, the land was turned into a 150-acre passive park for all to enjoy. It features a lot of amenities to enjoy including the Veterans Memorial Walk, playground, dog park, public restrooms and a 1 mile walking trail around the 15-acre pond just to name a few. It’s the perfect location for a picnic lunch on the grass or flying kites on a windy day.

Explore Cay Creek
Another hidden gem tucked away on the eastern end of the county is Cay Creek Interpretive Wetlands. The boardwalk stretches 7/10ths of a mile and takes visitors through the flora and fauna of multiple ecosystems from freshwater wetlands to the saltwater marsh. A 15-foot watch tower is located about halfway down the boardwalk which is a great place to get a birds-eye view of Cay Creek.
