Fall Family Fun in Liberty County You Won’t Want to Miss
We’re crossing our fingers for cooler weather now that fall is officially here, but we don’t need luck to find great family-friendly events during October! Enjoy the milder weather and small-town southern hospitality of our community with these five events. These events are friendly to your budget too, with three of them having free admission. Mark your calendars, put on a light sweater and head out for these festivals to celebrate the autumn season right here in Liberty County!
Fall Pumpkin Patch-Set at lovely Bryant Commons Park, this event will offer hayrides, kids’ activities and crafts plus a chance to visit the ITPA Museum. You can also purchase a pumpkin while you’re there, with proceeds benefiting the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Let the kids run and play throughout the spacious park for a fantastic fall day!

Fall Family Fun Day-Have fun for a cause and bring the family for an entertaining day. Activities at this event will include a yard sale, a bounce house, raffle, train, and food. All proceeds will benefit The Maike family with medical expenses.

Fall Cemetery Tour-Join the Midway Museum for a night tour of the Historic Midway Cemetery. Actors and actresses dressed in Colonial attire will interpret the stories of Liberty County ancestors. Two Revolutionary War generals are buried in this cemetery, along with numerous other historic figures of Liberty County. History buffs of all ages with enjoy this fantastic educational and entertaining event!

Scarecrow Stroll & Beggars Night– Put the kids in their Halloween costumes and roam around downtown Hinesville collecting treats. The old jail will be turned into a haunted house, and kids can participate in a costume contest too. Bonus: A family-friendly movie will be showing at Main Street Park right after the Stroll. Join in the fun for the biggest Halloween event of the season!

11th Annual Liberty County Fall Festival-Kids can jump to their heart’s content in the bouncy houses, enjoy the activity stations and games and snack on fair-style food. Families come first at this festival, hosted by the Liberty County/Armed Services Branch of the YMCA, and this is a chance for families and local businesses to connect. This festival is a great way to spend an afternoon outside with the kiddos.
