Get to Know Our Creative and Content Creator
We are continuing our “Getting to Know the Chamber Staff” series this week with our Creative and Content Coordinator, Hunter Hanna-Yox. This series of blogs will focus on our staff so you can get a better understanding of who you’re chatting with on the phone, meeting at a luncheon or networking with at Business After Hours.
Some may already recognize Hunter as she has been with the Chamber and CVB since September 2020. She originally started as a Program Coordinator but in February 2021 she transitioned into the role of Creative and Content Creator for the CVB. For those who do not know, the CVB is the Convention and Visitors Bureau and its purpose is to promote Liberty County.
Hunter graduated from high school here in Liberty County and then moved around a bit before settling back here once her husband got stationed at Ft. Stewart. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Armstrong in Savannah.
Hunter’s day-to-day schedule varies quite a lot. One moment she is writing insightful blogs for The Right Blend Blog, or designing attention-catching flyers, the next she is out at a historical site or business capturing media to share on our @exploreliberty Instagram and Facebook pages. She maintains our social media pages daily and interacts with followers through comments and giveaways. We know social media may seem like it is just posting pictures with a caption, but there is quite a bit more that goes into it.
Throughout her time here, Hunter has learned a couple random fun facts about Liberty County that she loves to share with others. “Our barrier island, St. Catherines, is the only other location in the world other than Madagascar that has lemurs! I just think that is so cool!” she says, “We also have the world’s largest crayon, that held a 2008 Guinness World Record, at the Keep Liberty Beautiful office in Midway.”
We asked Hunter what her favorite part of her position is and she responded with, “I love getting to share Liberty County with others. Liberty County is so great and it is my job to inform both those who live here and outsiders just how great it is!”
Outside of work Hunter is typically spending time with her two dogs, Jake and Harvey in her garden. On Saturdays, you will most likely find her singing karaoke at the Brickwall Café. She truly knows how to hype up the crowd and will do everything she can to get you up there to sing.
Hunter is an important part of our team, and we are so grateful for all she does. Her spunky personality brings great energy to our office. Hunter’s love for Liberty County sure runs deep, and you will notice pretty quickly how infectious it is!
