Medallion Styles Business Story

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce has close to 500 AMAZING members. From restaurateurs to retailers and everything in between. They add a great amount of value to Liberty County and the surrounding area. Each member brings something special to our Chamber family, and we want to take time to highlight our members by telling their business story. This week, we chatted with Madilla Parish to dive into the story of Medallion Styles.

Who are you and what is your business?

“My name is Madilla Parish and my business is Medallion Styles LLC.” Parish is a professional hair braider & loctician that specializes in all hair textures: “As a Hair braider you encounter all different hair types—some have growth issues, some have dandruff issues, some have thinning but all have one common interest and that is healthier hair, improvement and a product that could renew and rejuvenate the scalp.”

What made you start your Medallion Styles?

Ever since Parish was a little girl, she’s always been interested in haircare. She felt that the community needed someone who was as passionate about hair as she is: “I go beyond hair; it’s for the love of hair, as I always say. I love making people feel beautiful, look good & become more confident. That’s what got me into this field.”

What brought Medallion Styles to Liberty County?

Parish believes that divine intervention led her to Liberty County: “What brought me here? I would say God. We’re not military but we had a friend here & we came to visit. We got a good feel of Hinesville & God just led us here.”

What’s an interesting fact about your business that most people don’t know?

“For the love of hair” is much more than a quote at Medallion Styles. Parish feels that some people do hair more so as a hobby or because they have to. For Parish, doing hair is something that she puts her all into simply because she loves hair that much. Parish even offers a youth braiding camp for kids ages 8-17. She also offers 1-on-1 braid & loc classes for adults & a loc combining class for adults

What made you join the Chamber?

Parish likes to stay involved in the community & that was one of the driving factors behind her joining the Chamber: “I want to be more involved in the community now. I work with Savannah Tech as a judge for their cosmetology students’ work. I also go to the Boy’s & Girl’s Club and talk to the kids about what I do” Parish says.
