#nofilterneeded named Best Print Campaign
The Liberty County Convention & Visitors Bureau (LCCVB) is pleased to announce we have won the award for best Print Campaign in the Georgia Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus (GACVB) Best Ideas Competition.
The GACVB Best Ideas Competition was held in conjunction with the 2016 Winter Meeting in Columbus, GA. According to the GACVB, the competition recognizes and rewards creative excellence and effectiveness in marketing and advertising within the CVB community of Georgia. The LCCVB won the award for best print campaign with a budget under $250,000.
“In the spring of 2015, we began working on a new marketing campaign that would highlight and show in a simple way the natural beauty of Liberty County,” said LCCVB CEO Leah Poole. “Knowing that many people never see the water and coastline that we often take for granted, we felt that of the thousands of pictures we’ve taken of Liberty County that several shot while out kayaking really portrayed the message we wanted to pass along. The photo paired with the #nofilterneeded hashtag resonates with youth, photographers and those who enjoy nature.”
The ads have appeared in several magazines throughout 2015 and 2016, including Southern Travel & Lifestyle, Georgia Connector Magazine, Georgia Travel Guide, Liberty County Magazine and Southern Living Magazine.
The ads were created completely in-house, using pictures taken by the Liberty CVB and existing software to add the text and logo. The photos were left completely unfiltered to showcase the natural, scenic areas of Liberty County.
“It’s very exciting to win this award,” said Poole. “We work hard to create content that will spark people’s interest and encourage them to come explore Liberty County and all we have to offer. Winning this award gives us a confidence boost and lets us know that we’re headed in the right direction.”
