Ribbon Cutting for Fit to Style

Fit to Style, a new clothing store in Hinesville, held a ribbon cutting May 16 at 481 E.G. Miles Parkway, suite D, with the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce. The business held its official grand opening May 10.
“People walk by the windows and probably think the clothes will be too expensive, but I keep everything at an affordable and competitive price because I want people to have that option,” owner Fulvia Letman said. The business also offers makeup and accessories.
Letman, who was born in Jamaica, grew up in Long Island after moving there in 1979. She studied fashion illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology and began a career in graphic design. She has worked for the Coastal Courier and Gulfstream. In 2007, she was contracted by the military to work in Kuwait.  “I always wanted to open my own business and figured if I could go and work 10,000 miles away, then I can do this,” Letman said. “My hope is that this will become a chain someday, and we’d like to move to a slightly bigger store.”
The top edges of the business are covered with portraits of models.  “I’ve always had a love for art. I used to get in trouble for drawing on the walls when I was little. My daughter inherited the artistic traits and does makeup for our business,” Letman said.
Chamber board Chairman Daniel Clark welcomed the business to the chamber.
