Ribbon-cutting for Vanity Hair Salon
HINESVILLE, GA. – Vanity Hair Salon held a ribbon cutting for its grand opening with support from the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce on May 9 at 743 EG Miles Parkway.
Gwen Wilson welcomed staff, friends, and Chamber staff & members. Refreshments and snacks were offered to those in attendance.
Chamber volunteer Barbara Martin welcomed the business, saying “It’s always nice to welcome a new business to the community and even nicer to have a new member with the Chamber.”
Vanity Hair Salon offers manicures, pedicures, make-up and waxing, as well as their hair-cutting services.
Wilson went to cosmetology school in 2009 and graduated in 2010, stating that she has always had a passion for hair. “I did my friends’ hair when I was growing up and even did it for prom” she said. “I even did my first French braid on my Barbie Doll.” After graduating, she went on to work at the J.C. Penny Hair Salon in Brunswick, Georgia and managed the business for two years. Moving back to Hinesville in 2013, she decided to follow her dream of opening her own salon.
“My hope is to open another salon and possibly even a cosmetology school one day”, Wilson added.
