Ride Out the Summer Sun With Our Top 9 from August
August was a busy month as students, parents and teachers all jumped back into the swing of things for another exciting school year. It’s an exciting time of year all around with new beginnings for so many. The days are slowly getting shorter and temperatures are cooling down as we make our way into fall. It’s the perfect opportunity to ride out the last of those summer rays.
We were excited to start seeing new beginnings on our barrier island as well, as sea turtle hatchlings started emerging from nests and scurrying to the ocean. The Georgia Southern University Sea Turtle program has had record breaking numbers this year, and we just can’t get enough of those adorable hatchlings!!
The sun didn’t disappoint in August either with some incredible sunrises and sunsets that were too good not to share. But not to be out-shined, our August full moon put on a spectacular show as well!
