Ruffin’ it in Liberty County
We’ve got a beautiful community with tons of fun things to do. We always talk about how much fun you can have with your friends & family but haven’t mentioned much about spending time with our four legged pals! Fido has been a loyal companion to you, we can’t forget about him!
Our dogs are always happy to see us, always listen quietly while we talk & never want to see us leave. For all those reasons, we should dedicate some time solely to “ruffin’ it” with our pooches! Take your four-legged pal for a day of fun, or incorporate some dog friendly activities into every weekend.
Plan a staycation
Book a room for you & your beloved pooch at the pet friendly, LaQuinta Inn & Suites in Flemington. Situated close to many of our favorite spots, this is the perfect place to stay with Fido. Turn on Lady & the Tramp or Homeward Bound for a fun movie night in!
Spend the day at the park
Now that Cisco’s Dog Park at Bryant Commons has officially opened, you need to take your dog! With one side dedicated to larger breeds, and the other for smaller, this park is perfect for everyone. Plenty of agility obstacles and large open space for unleashed play will make your pup’s day. If Fido’s still up for some fun, a leashed walk around the pond is always a pleasant way to spend the afternoon.
Day on the water
If you’re a water lover, chances are Fido is too! Bring him along in the kayak or boat for a fun day at the sandbar. Pack a Frisbee for some fun fetch time or let him run around in the water for the day!
Grab a snack
Southern Sweets Café & Bakery in downtown Hinesville is well known for cakes & sweets but did you know they also make dog treats? That’s right, pick yourself up a sweet treat and grab some made from scratch biscuits for your canine companion!
Spa Time
Pamper your pup with a visit from Shampoochies! Give them a call and have this mobile pet grooming service bring the spa to Fido. A refreshing bath and spa treatment are just the ticket to a peaceful evening. Nail trimming and painting is also available for any interested parties!
The opportunities for fun are endless for you and your pooch to explore Liberty County! Coming up soon is Bark for Life with the American Cancer Society at Bryant Commons! Walk around the park and compete in a few contests like best trick and the obstacle course. Have some fun & support a great cause.
