We’re REALLY looking forward to fall, and not just for the cooler weather. Around here, fall brings out the local flavor in food and music! Nothing does this better than the annual Blues, Brews & BBQ; it’s a festival you can sink your teeth into.

This is the lucky 13th year for this festival, because it just gets keeps getting better and better! Hosted by the Hinesville Area Arts Council, Blues, Brews & BBQ boasts a BBQ competition, live music and lots of family fun. This year’s entertainment lineup is sure to please with EG Kight, a six time Blues Music Award Nominee as the headliner. Her sound has been described as “country flavored southern fried blues.” Sounds like a delicious feast for your ears! Keep up with her on Facebook and Twitter.

Also featured are the Wild Shiners, a string quartet from North Florida with a special connection to Hinesville in their song, “Momma, Hinesville Georgia.” Get familiar with it before the event by clicking here. Follow them on Facebook.

Did we mention the beer yet? Yes, that would be the “brews” part of this event, and it will flow freely with your purchase of a bottomless cup. This year, Service Brewing Co. will be “on tap” so to speak, serving up some craft brew in addition to your other favorite adult beverages.

Oh, and you won’t go hungry either, with plenty of BBQ to choose from. The BBQ competition starts at 4pm, with a People’s Choice component. Food sales open up to the public at 5pm, so bring your appetite and prepare for a southern feast!
