Sit Back & Relax in Liberty County

With summer right around the corner it can be overwhelming deciding on the perfect destination for your getaway, but we are sure that we have “The Right Blend” of things to do and places to see for your vacation! Great food and coastal views are only two of Liberty County’s many highlights. If you are on the fence about visiting, but still need convincing, be sure to keep reading.

Affordability

Going to a large tourist destination is always fun, but this also means that you have to pay inflated prices to do things. Fortunately, most of our sites are free of charge! You can visit outdoor trails such as the Historic Baptismal Trail and Cay Creek Wetlands Interpretive Center for no cost at all. Other places like the ITPA Telephone Museum and the Midway Museum have a very small admission fee, but you will create memories to last a lifetime.

Somewhere That You Wouldn’t Normally Go

Most of Liberty County’s attractions are what you would call, “off the beaten path.” Many activities around here will not be found right off of Interstate 95, which gives you a chance to explore some of our hidden gems. Visit us to see and do all of the unique things we have to offer like the Hinesville Area Arts Council Gallery and It’s All About Me Selfie Studio.

Something for Everyone

We like to say that Liberty County is “The Right Blend,” because this is a place where there is truly something for everyone. Dorchester Academy or even the Old Liberty County jail are places where you can indulge your mind and have a good time.

You can launch a kayak in Isle of Wight at Jones Creek Park, go for a stroll with your pets at one of our many pet friendly trails or have a picnic with loved ones at Bryant Commons. You can even learn about our rich military history that dates back hundreds of years at Fort Morris! Pro tip: before you launch at Jones Creek Park be sure to pack a cooler to stay hydrated while you venture out to a sandbar.

If the outdoors and historic landmarks are not your cup of tea, drop by Martin Mercantile Tuesday-Saturday from 10am-2pm or the Hinesville Downtown Farmers Market on a Thursday from 3-7pm! You can shop a wide variety of local vendors. If you have kids, be sure to drop by Fangs Island to play a couple rounds of Meltdown and put your jumping skills to the test.Sit Back & Relax in Liberty County Kayak

Good Eats

Food is something that brings everyone together and Liberty County has a wide variety of it! If you’re looking for a true representation of Liberty County in one place, look no further than the Sunbury Crab Company. With relaxing coastal views, a full bar and the freshest seafood, we recommend putting this place at the top of your itinerary! A unique part of Liberty County is that we have many places that specialize in international cuisine! Looking for something out of the norm? Try Tazza Kabob Grillhouse for an Afghan fusion meal or Zum Rosenhoff which serves authentic German cuisine!

Diversity

A place would be nothing without the people in it. In Liberty County we love to tell people about the wide range of diversity who make us who we are. This is in a large way thanks to Fort Stewart, which is the largest military installation east of the Mississippi River!
