Tell a Member’s Business Story: Dr. James & Dr. Melissa Ferry with Live Oak Chiropractic
The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce has close to 500 AMAZING members. From restaurateurs to retailers and everything in between. They add a great amount of value to Liberty County and the surrounding area. Each member brings something special to our chamber family, and we want to take time to highlight our members by telling their business story. We had one of our program coordinators meet with Dr. James and Dr. Melissa Ferry to get their story.
Who are you and what is your business?

What made you start your business?
We had/have a strong desire to serve our community, to meet our community’s health and wellness needs with a conservative approach to healthcare that changes lives!
What brought you to Liberty County?
We came to visit and fell in love with Hinesville’s small-town appeal, as it reminded us of our hometown in Upstate NY.
What’s an interesting fact about your business that most people don’t know?
We take care of people of ALL ages and stages, even babies and pregnant women! The biggest thing most people don’t realize about chiropractic is that it’s NOT just about neck pain and back pain. We look at the body as a whole. The spine is intimately related to the nervous system (which controls everything), so poor spinal health can cause dysfunction throughout the entire body.
Do you have any advice for new business owners?
DEFINITELY become part of the Chamber and be out/be involved in the community as much as you can!
When you’re not working, where in Liberty County do you like to spend your time?
We enjoy cooking and entertaining with friends at our home. There is still a lot of outdoors for us to explore here in Liberty County, but we do enjoy going to Bryant Commons and Bradwell Park, especially when there are events happening.
What made you join the Chamber? What value have you gotten out of your Chamber membership?
We joined the chamber because we knew that the chamber is an integral part of the small business community. We have made SO many networking connections through the chamber and have really enjoyed the events!
