Tell a Member’s Business Story: Kim Robinson with K&M Xtreme Clean

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce has close to 500 AMAZING members. From restaurateurs to retailers and everything in between. They add a great amount of value to Liberty County and the surrounding area. Each member brings something special to our chamber family, and we want to take time to highlight our members by telling their business story. We had one of our program coordinators meet with Mrs. Kimberly Robinson from K&M Xtreme Clean to get her story. Mrs. Robinson is also the recipient of the 2020 Liberty County Business of the Year award with 2 – 15 employees.

Who are you and what is your business?

My name is Kimberly Robinson the owner of K & M Xtreme Clean. We offer commercial and residential cleaning in Hinesville and surrounding counties.

What made you start your business?

Being an entrepreneur is something I always wanted to be. It wasn’t until I lost my job on Fort Stewart at the recycling plant that I got the motivation I needed to take a step out on faith.

What brought you to Liberty County?

Well, I attended elementary through high school in Hinesville & have been in business here for three years.

What’s an interesting fact about your business most people don’t know?

One interesting fact about my business is I started this business with the last $500 in my savings.

Do you have any advice for new business owners?

My advice for new business owners is to network. Networking is not only about trading information, but also serves as an avenue to create long-term relationships with mutual benefits.

When you’re not working, where in Liberty County do you like to spend your time?

When I’m not working, I love to spend my time at Bryant Commons. Whether it’s just a walk around the pond or even a picnic with my kids. It’s a great place to just hang out.

What made you join the Chamber? What value have you gotten out of your Chamber membership?

When I finally decided starting a business is what I was going to do I did some research. And one of the first things that popped up was networking. So, I then researched networking opportunities in Liberty County and the Chamber came up. Since becoming a member I have networked with so many other members and small business owners. I have been able to sit up under some very talented business owners and get some great advice.
