The Best Wing Spots in Liberty County
Did you know it’s only 22 days and some odd hours until the NFL Kick-off? And only 9 until NCAA/College football season starts. We know lots and lots of excited fans in Liberty County who can’t wait to hunker down and cheer on their favorite teams. To get you prepped for that we thought we’d hit the top 8 wing spots in Liberty County (some you may not know about) to get you ready for the big game! An added bonus, you can WATCH the big game at some of these spots too!
Soon to be one of our newest Chamber members, we’re excited about the energy and just plain good food that Gary Gordon is bringing to Liberty County. With a soft opening date of August 22nd, look for an official ribbon cutting soon. With a variety of wing flavors available, 520 has way more than just wings, so if your lady doesn’t like the mess be sure to check out the shrimp alfredo, po boy shrimp sandwich or something we haven’t tried yet but have heard amazing things about, the crab fries! They do have large screen tv’s just for the avid football watcher!
Another that has recently reopened in a new location, just across the street from Walmart Neighborhood Market in Hinesville, Chris’s Curbside Grill actually first opened in 2004 in a food truck. A Marine veteran, the owner, Christopher Hicks, prides himself on supporting the local community. With more sauce types than we care to list, just be sure to go check out what they have to offer, including 49 cent wing Wednesday! There are 31 flavors and 961 flavor combos. Did we mention they’ve been voted Best of Liberty in 2013, 2014 and 2015?!
Part of a larger franchise, Wingstop Hinesville prides themselves on serving bone-in and boneless wings with a variety of sauces and homemade ranch and bleu cheese. They promise “fresh never faked wings, and hand-cut seasoned fries.”
It might not be your first thought for wings, but we promise they have them! Along with a full bar, projection screen tv and an amazing view! We’ve heard that a local fav is the Sweet Thai Chili wings with an ice cold Budlight! Joe Maley, the lead chef, has actually been nominated for South’s Greatest Chef in South magazine!
Another franchise option and definitely a great one! Zaxby’s in Hinesville is not only a great community partner, they have really good food too! They offer both boneless and traditional wings, along with sauces like Tongue Torch ® and Insane! Be sure to stock up on a beverage before trying one of these!
Boasting the largest screen TV in Hinesville, Doodles Billiards is most often thought about for their pool tables and poker tourneys, but they actually have really good food too! This would be a great place to eat wings locally and watch the game! With a full bar and the largest tap beer selection in Hinesville, they can create the flavor you crave. Owners Erica and Clay Anderson are always busy, but never too busy to stop & chat, remember your favorite beverage or lend a timely joke to make you laugh.

Hot Wing Express
Even without a Facebook page or website this wing joint still came up time and again in conversation about good wings locally. It seems like the place to go for affordable and tasty options. Located on Hwy 196 in Hinesville, it’s not unusual to see a line snaking out the door.

The Pour House
This family owned and operated restaurant in the heart of downtown Hinesville has tons of things going for it and one of the best is their special “8 wings & a pitcher” for $11! With sauces like sesame ginger and garlic parmesan, you have a variety of choices to suit your wing craving. A huge supporter of the local community, owner Johnathan Richardson and his crew will make sure you leave happy. They also have a wide array of large screen televisions and all kinds of football games playing throughout the season and a variety of beers on draft.
