The Sound of Local – Lyrics, Artists and Music Festivals from the Heart of Liberty County
The South has a long list of incredible attributes that makes it the amazing place that it is. Food, people, manners, film locations, sweet tea and celebrities are all things that have made the South popular and well known. But one of the biggest attributes of the South is music! Some of the best music genres and musicians have been brought to life in our neck of the woods. Blues, jazz, country and rock’n’roll were all born in the South. So it should come as no surprise that music is a focal point in Liberty County events and festivals, or that we have our fair share of musicians. We even have a few songs featuring our coastal community!

WildShiners is a popular band based out of northern Florida that bring to life a style of music you don’t hear often on the radio. The band is a string-based quintet consisting of a banjo, fiddle, upright bass, flatpick guitar and drums that are picked and played to a fast-paced tune. Although it’s not a local band, one of their original songs is entitled “Momma, Hinesville Georgia” and showcases the many talents of the band members. Its upbeat tempo is sure to get you clapping and tapping your toes! Check out the music video here.
