Getting to Know Emma Faircloth
We think it’s important to know who your Chamber & CVB staff is, their expertise, their experience and who they are. This week on our “Getting to Know” series, we sat down with our Creative & Content Coordinator, Emma Faircloth. This series of blogs will focus on our staff so you can get a better understanding of who you’re chatting with on the phone, meeting at a luncheon or networking with at Business After Hours.
Emma is a graduate of Georgia Southern University (GSU) with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. After graduating from GSU she moved to Jesup, and she started working for the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce in August 2021, as one of our Program Coordinators. In January 2022, she took over as our Creative and Content Coordinator for the Liberty County Convention & Visitors Bureau. The new position is an even better fit for her as it has created new networking opportunities and positively challenges her creativity. In April of 2022, she moved to Hinesville and is eager to take part in her new community.
“When people ask me what I do, I normally respond by saying all things tourism, but day-to-day I am normally working on a variety of things such as showcasing our beautiful county on social media (Facebook and Instagram specifically). I’m guiding group tours, creating billboards, rack cards, magazine ads and assisting filmmakers with scouting locations,” said Emma. She also writes blogs, maintains our website, and puts together monthly newsletters. She even designs the promotional products that we use for giveaways.
“What is a little-known fact about your job?”… She said a big part of what the CVB accomplished doesn’t actually take place in Liberty County. One day she might be writing a blog about Things to Experience in Liberty County, the next day creating billboards that are displayed in South Carolina and Florida. She enjoys this very much, as it means no two days are the same!
Her favorite thing about the CVB is getting to meet new people and discover new places within Liberty County. She enjoys exploring and learning the history of the place she now calls home. She especially loves being able to learn something new every day.
Other than working, Emma enjoys visiting spots in our coastal community. Even when it’s raining like it does almost every afternoon in the summer, she said that there is a lot to explore. If you’re new to Liberty County she recommends reading our “Getting to Know Your Way Around” blog for tips and tricks! Some of her favorite stops in Liberty County include Rodeo Mexican Restaurant, as well as Doodles Billards.
We are happy to have Emma Faircloth as a member of our team. She is always excited to help people #ExploreLiberty.
