Your Liberty County Guide to Battling the Quarantine Blues
Life has been a whirlwind for all of us the past few weeks and especially for those who are adding the role of teacher to their day! We decided to put together a helpful list of things to do, places to order a meal or two from and even some special drink recipes for that much deserved after bedtime adult hour! Just remember we’re all in this together and together we can accomplish anything!!
Liberty County is chock full of history and incredible places to visit but since we can’t do any of that right now, give some of our virtual tours a try! The videos on the Explore Liberty Facebook page (found here) are taking viewers through some historical buildings in our community and giving a history lesson at the same time. It’s a great way to take a break from that grueling math and discover something new about your hometown!
Break a Sweat
We know how tempting it is to stay in your pajamas all day and bum around but staying active will not only make you feel better but also help burn off some of that energy the kids have! The Liberty County YMCA has a lot of incredible virtual workouts you can do from your living room including Zumba, yoga and even cardio boxing! You can find those videos on their Facebook page here.

Sometimes you just need a break from cooking multiple meals a day, and we are totally there with you on that idea! We’ve compiled a list of local restaurants that can satisfy even the pickiest of eaters which you can find here. Don’t feel like loading everyone up and grabbing food curbside? Check out Delivery.com to get some of your favorite dishes brought to your front door! And the best part of all of this other than not having to do dishes? You’ll be supporting local businesses!!
The Great Outdoors
One of the best parts of living in a coastal county is the amount of breathtaking natural beauty we have! While you may not be able to stroll the boardwalk at Cay Creek Wetlands or watch for dolphins on the boat dock in Sunbury right now, you can enjoy nature in your own backyard! We’ve created a nature bingo card perfect for getting out in the yard to stretch your legs, get some fresh air and even win some prizes!!
Time to Relax
After a long day it’s nice to unwind, put your feet up and just relax. Our friend Erica from Doodles Billiards created two perfect drink recipes to enjoy during that much-deserved relaxation. Enjoy!
