Getting to Know Alexis Hoggard

This week, we sat down with our Administrative Assistant, Alexis Hoggard.
Getting to Know Alexis
Alexis has been with the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce since August, so some of you may have already had the chance to meet her. Alexis grew up in Fayetteville and Springdale, Arkansas where she lived until she and her family moved to Georgia in 2022. She also attended and is a graduate of Neosho Beauty College for Cosmetology in Neosho, Missouri. Before joining us here at the Chamber Alexis was a nail technician. “I have always loved doing makeup and hair. It was a passion of mine, until one day I realized I wanted a complete change of pace,” says Alexis.
Her family consists of her husband Charles and their 3 dogs. “My 3 dogs, Ava, a German Shepard, Marshall, a pit mix (I can’t remember with what) and Maverick, a black lab are what I like to call my crazy but very loving children,” says Alexis.
What sort of tasks do you do each day?
“Each day for me is very different from the last but the main things that stay consistent are running general office errands and communicating with the public over the phone and in person. I am also responsible for updating our community calendar and keeping up with RSVP lists for our events,” says Alexis.
What does Alexis enjoy about her position?
“I like that each day is very different from the last. It makes what I do much more enjoyable. One day I am answering phones and the next day I’m helping to set up for a Progress Through People Luncheon,” says Alexis.
Alexis’ favorite things about Liberty County
“My husband was previously stationed here at Ft. Stewart, and we fell in love with the area. I love how beautiful Liberty County is and I especially love the downtown Hinesville area,” says Alexis.
Are there any spots within Liberty County that you enjoy visiting outside of work?
“One of my favorite things to do is drive around and look at all the historic buildings and the beautiful trees with Spanish moss draped from their limbs. My husband and I enjoy all of the restaurants in the area! A couple of our personal favorites are Flacos House and Zum Rosenhof. I also enjoy grabbing a drink from The Parrot and Frog located in downtown Hinesville. Their wine slushies are the best,” says Alexis.
We are happy to have Alexis as a member of our team, and we are very thankful for all the hard work that she put in on a day-to-day basis. We know you will think she is as awesome as we do!
