Community Leadership Programs

Events

Leadership Liberty

The goal of Leadership Liberty is to create and grow the next leaders of Liberty County through education and information about the resources available throughout the community. Leadership Liberty prepares these future leaders for public service through training and skill-building opportunities. Those who go through the program receive a thorough understanding of community and economic development while gaining a deeper appreciation for the rich, cultural history of Liberty County.

Young Adult Liberty Leaders

High school juniors and seniors are selected as participants to take part in a rigorous 9-month class that meets once per month. Throughout the YALL program, students learn about various functions of the community, including county and city government, public health and education, tourism, economic development and more. This unique program allows them to gain skills to take with them throughout their future endeavors such as community collaboration and effective communication.
