Tell A Member’s Business Story: Wise Tax Services

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce has more than 500 amazing members. They each add great value to Liberty County and the surrounding area. Every member brings something special to our Chamber family, and we want to take time to highlight our members by telling their business stories. This week we are highlighting Wise Tax Services.

Who owns Wise Tax Services and what do they do?

Cami Mendoza is the owner/tax advisor of Wise Tax Services. Her business specializes in family, individual and small business tax preparation. They also offer accounting services for small businesses, as well as public notary services both onsite and mobile.

What made you start your business?

“I wanted people to have a place people could go that was knowledgeable, full of integrity and judgment-free to help them navigate their taxes,” Mendoza said

What brought you to Liberty County?

“My husband was in the military and was stationed on Fort Stewart. While here we fell in love with the community and ultimately decided to stay. After deciding to make this place our home, we looked at various ways in which we could become involved in the area as well,” she explained.

What’s an interesting fact about your business that most people don’t know?

“We have a mascot, and his name is Mr. Wise! We use him at the various community events we attend,” she said. Another interesting fact is that Mrs. Mendoza also owns another local business called Brain Twister Escape Rooms. Located at 353 W Memorial Dr, Unit B, Hinesville, visitors can expect to test their observation and teamwork skills in their multiroom game. The escape room is designed for 2-6 players; all participants must be 8 years old or older. Tickets can be purchased online via their website. Do you have any advice for new business owners?

“You don’t need the fanciest and most expensive software or equipment to get started. Start small with what you have and allow your business to grow and pay for itself,” she said.

What made you join the Chamber/What value have you gotten out of your Chamber membership?

“I joined the Chamber because it’s an organization that fuses community and business. I am a fan of how the Chamber works to promote the betterment of our community through small and local businesses.  The connection of an extended network of like-minded people and organizations, I have found to be extremely valuable in my membership. Additionally, the Chamber has helped to further the reach of my company’s message of how we can be of service to Liberty County,” she explained.
