Did you know that June 8th is National Best Friend Day?! Well we did, and we put together this great list of 8 spots to take pictures with your bestie in Liberty County! Whether your best friend is of the two legged or four-legged variety, we are sure that one of these spots will do the trick.
Gulf Sign
Who doesn’t want to take a picture with a vintage lighted sign?! Located on the corner of Martin Road and Hwy 17 in Midway at White’s Service Center, this great old sign, is still operational and would make the perfect selfie! A plus, the White’s are SUPER nice people, be sure to stop in & tell ‘em hello! In one form or another a service station has operated at this location for over 100 years! If you’re looking for the perfect Insta moment….. This is it!
Jones Creek Park
Admittedly, this is one of our favorites. Located in Isle of Wight you can take a walk here, as well as enjoy a beautiful sunset, maybe have a dolphin sighting or put your kayak in the water! What more could you ask for in a selfie with your bestie? In addition to the coastal views and relaxing vibe, there is a pavilion with picnic tables to sit and enjoy some snacks while soaking up the rays!
Old Liberty County Jail
One of the earliest brick structures in Hinesville, built in October 1892, the Old Liberty County Jail was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. Imagine your bestie behind bars! That’s the look you can achieve by standing where the inmates stood, visiting the padded cell or posing on the stairs by the exposed brick to head to the second floor (aka the Women’s Floor). You could also make a killer TikTok video!
Sunbury Crab Company
Coastal views, a full bar and the freshest seafood. Those are some of the words that we use to describe the Sunbury Crab Company. Make a reservation for a relaxing evening smelling the salt air & enjoy time with your bestie. Recognized by Southern Living Magazine as one of “The South’s Best Seafood Shacks,” you should head out to see what all of the fuss is about. Don’t forget to take a walk out on their dock. You’ll want to snap a picture with your bestie while you’re there!

Sunbury Boat Ramp
This public boat ramp located on the east end of the county is the perfect spot to watch the sunset, dolphins play and boats coming and going. If you like to fish be sure to bring your pole, and you might get a selfie with a stingray! Be sure to get your fishing license & meet all state & local requirements.
Cisco’s Dog Park at Bryant Commons
If your best friend is of the four-legged variety & likes to bark this property is located in the heart of downtown Hinesville. The homestead of the former Senator Glenn E. Bryant and his wife they envisioned the property as a “passive park” for the community to enjoy. There is a side for big dogs and small dogs. Even if your fur-friend is on the tiny side, he or she is still welcome! Be sure to sit on one of the many benches around the pond & snap the perfect selfie!
Hinesville Area Arts Council Mural
Be sure to check out the mural located on East Court Street in downtown Hinesville! From any angle the stained glass effect of the massive painting will give you the perfect selfie with your bestie!

A unique blend of progress and history, downtown Hinesville offers a blend of shopping, dining & specialty shops, all perfect for a mini photo session! What about the events?! Head to the Farmers Market each Thursday night from March to November. You can pick up some hand cut sunflowers for your selfie with your bestie!
