Breast Cancer Screening

We are fighting breast cancer, one person at a time! St Joseph’s/Candler Mobile Mammography Unit will be onsite Wednesday, Oct. 9, at our Midway office and Thursday, Oct. 31, at our Richmond Hill office, to provide mammogram screenings. Schedule an appointment today at (912) 819-6140.

Mammograms are covered as preventive screenings under most insurance plans. For exact coverage, women should check with their insurance companies, as there may be copays or deductibles. For your convenience, St. Joseph’s/Candler will file a claim with your insurance provider on your behalf. If the patient does not have insurance, there are programs which cover the costs of mammogram screening. Patients should ask about these programs when they call to schedule their appointments. To take advantage of these mobile screenings, participants must be women 40 and older with no new breast lumps/concerns. Physician referrals are not required, but you must have a physician’s name for reporting purposes.
