The Mayor’s Motorcade began in 1959 as a campaign to raise awareness of the needs of Georgia mental health hospitals and their residents. Each year, cities in the state of Georgia pledge to raise funds to help those individuals during the holiday season. Fundraising efforts in the City of Hinesville benefit Georgia Regional Hospital Savannah, a state – run mental health service provider in Savannah, GA which serves the Coastal Georgia area.
Healthy Hinesville is a health and wellness campaign presented by the City of Hinesville and sponsored by the Liberty County Recreation Department and the Liberty County / Armed Services YMCA.
