The Historic Baptismal Trail

The Historic Baptismal Trail located in Riceboro is another one of our special hidden gems! It’s open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and Saturday-Sunday from 9am-5pm. Written and oral history from members of the First African Baptist Church say that the site was in use as early as the 1840’s as a place to perform Christian baptism for enslaved people. It lives on as a very spiritual place, and we highly encourage you to go visit!
