Holly Jolly Christmas Traditions in Liberty County
Liberty County is the place to be during the holiday season, from the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce 28th Annual Illuminated Christmas Parade to the Midway Museum Christmas Tea, there is something for everyone to enjoy! We take pride in our festive events, and they do not disappoint on the wow factor! Keep reading for all of our holly jolly Christmas traditions.
Hinesville for the Holidays is one of the first events of the season. On December 5th from 5-8pm in downtown Hinesville we will be jumpstarting the festivities with the tree lighting, pictures with Santa, train rides and more! This event is held in Bradwell Park and is something you don’t want to miss.
Attend the Wreaths for Warriors Walk event held on Fort Stewart. It allows people to place wreaths on the tress that line the walk, which are a remembrance of fallen soldiers from the 3rd Infantry Division. It will be on December 14th at 12pm. The wreaths will remain up throughout December.

Santa’s Mailbox at the Bacon Frasier House
Need to get that wish list over to Santa Claus? We’ve got you covered! The historic Bacon Frasier House located at 208 E Court Street in downtown Hinesville puts out Santa’s mailbox to ensure Saint Nick is getting everyone’s letters! Santa is usually really good at a response, letting the littles know just what to expect this holiday season. Look for his mailbox starting November 27th! All letters must be received by December 16th for a response.
Wear your favorite baggy pants, add some neon and maybe do a mullet? Because this year’s parade will be 80’s themed! Bring the whole family as local businesses and organizations cruise the downtown streets and show off their holiday flair! It will be held on December 6th at 6:30pm. Looking for a unique holiday experience with rich history? Look no further, the Midway Museum Annual Christmas Tea is an experience that will immerse you in its history. Tickets to this event can be purchased in person or online here! This event is held on December 14th and has seating times at 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm. To see more click here!
35 Nights of Lights is located in downtown Hinesville, from November 21st – December 26th. GAP Park will be decorated with photo friendly spots that will truly get you into the holiday spirit. 35 Nights of Lights is a wonderful opportunity for all those family photo ops and will create memories that will be sure to last.
Great food, live music and vendors is what you will find if you head to the Christmas at Sunbury event. We highly recommend you check out all of the holiday family fun you can enjoy at Sunbury Crab Company. There is a $5 admission fee and children under three get in free! This event is on November 30th from 11am to 4pm.

The 16th Annual Christmas Bazaar & Fish Fry
This outdoor event located at Dorchester Village Civic Center allows participants to stroll through vendor booths and find that perfect gift. You can enjoy a delicious fish dinner while you get into the holiday spirit. This is a one day only event and is held on December 7th from 10am-2pm.
9. Flemington Tree Lighting
You won’t want to miss the City of Flemington’s annual tree lighting! We hear that Santa might be there, so bring the littles & come have some fun. It will take place on Monday, December 2nd beginning at 6pm.
10. Gingerbread House Decorating Party
