Liberty County Back2School Guide

August is quickly approaching and signaling the end of summer vacation for the K-12 students in Liberty County. We know how daunting it can be scrambling to make sure your children have everything they need to have a great start to the school year. To make it a little easier, we’ve compiled a list of a few back2school events in Liberty County! Make sure to plan time to hit all these stops and spread the word to other parents and guardians you may know.

Back2School Events

There’s nothing better than giving back to the community, especially when those donations can impact children. Each of the events below will be giving away various school supplies, such as pens, pencils, writing paper, notebooks & more! There will also be lots of activities and food to keep the kiddos happy.

• Gift of Love is here Corporation and K&M Xtreme Clean will be hosting their Annual Back to School Supply Drive on July 15^th at Jonnie Frazier Park from 11am to 4pm. They’ll also have food, face painting, raffles & music.
• Real Estate Resource Center, Lights Out Empowerment & Play Datez presents Downtown Gives Back! This back-to-school extravaganza will have live music, free uniforms & a talent show with a winning prize of $200! This event will take place on July 22^nd at Bradwell Park from 11am-3pm.
• 5^th Quarter Athletic Knights will be hosting Tackling Back to School, One Youth at a Time on July 23^rd at Celebration Castle from 3:30pm-7:00pm. Their partners for this event are Councilman Karl Riles, Sara Petys- Lovely Luxury Team, Celebration Castle & Walthourville Meat Market.
• Inspirational Living Foundation Inc. is hosting their Annual Back 2 School Bash on July 29^th at 10am at Shuman Recreation Center. They will not only be giving away school supplies & book bags, but they’ll also have a DJ S.T.E.M. Class with Jerome Howard.
• Weichert Relators^©️ is hosting a Customer Appreciation Back to School Bash & Supply Giveaway on July 30th their office from 2-5pm. The event will include food, games, raffles & giveaways.

Open House

On July 31^st & August 1^st the Liberty County School System will be have a countywide open house at all LCSS schools from 2pm-6pm. This is a perfect time for students, teachers & parents to meet prior to the first day of school. For all Pre-K students the open house will be by appointment only. You can call 912. 876.0773 & schedule an appointment.
