Grab Breakfast at the Sunbury Coffee Bar
The Sunbury Coffee Bar is one of downtown Hinesville’s newest spots, tucked in a cozy area surrounded by greenery that invites you to pause and enjoy your meal. Their pastries are delicious, and the coffee is even better! Whether you prefer it hot or iced, grab your drink and get ready to #ExploreLiberty.
Start Your Morning at Bryan Commons Park
What’s not to love about this place? Bryant Commons Park is a 156-acre gem in downtown Hinesville, full of beautiful trees, walking trails and a pond perfect for catch-and-release fishing. It also has an amphitheater, Cisco’s Dog Park (with areas for both big and small dogs) and Brambles Playground, so the little ones can play! Don’t miss the Veterans Memorial Walk, a peaceful paved path where you can reflect and honor the soldiers who fought for our country.
The park also has a perfect walking loop, making it a great spot to stroll with friends or family. Pause for a moment, take in the sunrise filtering through the oak trees and just breathe. Mornings here are the kind that stick with you.
ITPA Telephone Museum
While you’re at Bryant Commons Park, be sure to visit the ITPA Telephone Museum. Originally located in Washington, D.C., the museum moved in 2001 to the charming city of Hinesville in Liberty County, Georgia. It’s housed in the former family home of Glenn E. and Trudie Bryant, nestled under beautiful oak trees draped with Spanish moss.
The museum has a large collection of telephones and equipment from throughout history. Kids and adults alike will enjoy seeing how phones have changed — from solid wood, wall-mounted, hand-cranked designs of the past to today’s pocket-sized, touch-screen cell phones.
