Support Local: National Small Business Week

The first week of May is a special time to support small business owners. These are the people who work hard every day to bring unique shops, yummy food, helpful services and new ideas to our towns. In our blog, “Celebrating Local: How to Shop Small All Year,” we talked about why it’s a great idea to support small businesses not just during the holidays but all year long. To celebrate, we made a list of some awesome small businesses in Liberty County. These are places you can visit, tell your friends about and support. The Butterfly Box Project provides patients with terminal diagnoses with scrapbooking kits, instant cameras and boxes full of things that will help comfort them during their hospitalizations or treatments.
