#8 Historic Baptismal Trail

Stroll down a path of living history via the Historic Baptismal Trail in Riceboro. Once an active holy place, the Historic Baptismal Trail was used by the ancestors of local Geechee communities to baptize new members into the Christian faith. The trail is open for self-guided tours Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and on Saturdays & Sundays, 9am-5pm. Hours are subject to change so be sure check the City of Riceboro’s website for updates.

There is no better way to enjoy a summer day than on the water, and our local pups agree! Being a coastal community means there are no shortages when it comes to water-based activities. A great water activity is kayaking. Be sure to check out our list of the best spots to launch a kayak.
