10 Perfect Spots to Take a Photo in Liberty County
Liberty County has a number of a beautiful places to stop and snap a quick photo or plan your next photo shoot! With all of the great locations, it’ll be hard to choose just one. These are 10 places to keep in mind next time that y’all are searching for a spot to take your perfect photo!
1) Old Sunbury Road and Cay Creek Road

Both of these dirt roads are the perfect way to capture a true Liberty County vibe in your photos. The way the sun shines through the tree canopies is gorgeous on its own, and the beautiful Spanish moss hanging from the trees makes the best backdrop!
2) Cay Creek Wetlands Interpretive Center

The boardwalk at Cay Creek Wetlands Interpretive Center is a perfect location to snap a picture or two, especially with all of the different landscapes you’ll see from beginning to end. The various ecosystems provide all sorts of greenery, and the end of the boardwalk even has a dock wide enough to fit your whole family!
3) The Historic Baptismal Trail

The Historic Baptismal Trail has a beautiful tree lined path, and there is also a boardwalk that leads to the baptismal site. The water that was once used as the baptismal pool is great for capturing a reflection! Don’t miss out on the opportunity to also learn about the history of the site when you visit.
4) The Dock at Sunbury Crab Company
The Sunbury Crab Company has beautiful views from their dock. You can walk down and snap your best #onthewater look for your photos. You can finish off the photo session with a cold drink and a delicious meal!
5) Sunbury Public Boat Ramp

The Sunbury Boat Ramp is another spot to visit to give your photos a coastal flair. The smell of the saltwater in the air makes being here that much better!
6) A Sandbar
What says coastal vibes more than being out on a sandbar?! This is one of the best places to watch the sunset and enjoy a nice day by the water. The opportunity for photos is an added bonus!
7) Mural in Downtown Hinesville
This is Liberty County’s only mural, and it is conveniently located on the side of the Hinesville Area Arts Council Gallery! It’s made up of a multitude of beautiful colors and resembles an oak tree on the coast. It is the perfect place for people who want that artsy and eclectic feel in their photos!
8. Fort Morris Historic Site

Visit Fort Morris Historic Site for views of the coast and nature! The walking trail provides the greenery of nature and the clear view of St. Catherines Sound gives that coastal feel. While you’re there, pop in to their museum and learn about what the fort was used for back in the day!
9) Jones Creek Park

Jones Creek Park is one of our personal favorite spots. It truly has some of the most perfect sunset views. If you stop by for a visit, then keep your eye out for the dolphins! They’re spotted here often.
10) Eve Park at Halfmoon Marina
Eve Park at Halfmoon Marina is located on the intracoastal waterway here in Liberty County. There is a park for the kids to play while you snap photos, and if y’all are lucky, you may even see a boat coming in or out of the marina!
