9 Things To Do with Your Dad in Liberty County

Father’s Day is a great opportunity to show your dad just how much you love and appreciate him! #ExploreLiberty and give the gift of new adventures and quality time. We gathered some ideas of things for y’all to do that cover a wide variety of interests because we know that each father is one of a kind! 1) Cast a line and see who can catch the biggest fish!

2) Relax along intracoastal waterways in a kayak.

3) Visit a nature trail and spend some time in the great outdoors.

4) Watch a sunrise or sunset.

Nothing says “I love you” like watching Mother Nature’s show in the sky. We even made a list of some of our favorite spots for you! Most of them have picnic tables or benches to sit on, but if you want to be extra comfortable, we recommend taking your own chair along.

5) Get active and play pickleball at Krebs Park.

See if your old man has still got it by playing a game of pickleball at the City of Hinesville’s newest park! This activity is the perfect way to get the whole family involved and enjoy some exercise. You are not required to reserve a court, but you will need to bring your own equipment!

6) Grab a beer at one of our favorite spots.

Kick back and enjoy a cold beverage at our only brewery, Hops on Fire Brewing Company. If you’re looking for a wider selection of brews and mixed drinks, we recommend heading over to The Parrot and Frog.

7) Compete in a game of pool at Doodles Billiards!

Friendly competition is a great way to bring you guys together. Make your way to Doodles and grab a table and a couple of beers to see who has the best skills!

8) Play a round of golf.

• The Midway Museum is the only colonial history museum in the state of Georgia, and it’s located right off of Highway 17.

• Visit the Independent Telecommunications Pioneer Association (ITPA) Museum located in Hinesville to see how the telephone evolved.

• If your dad is a veteran or loves military history, visit the 3^rd Infantry Division Museum located on Fort Stewart. Learn how it became the largest military installation east of the Mississippi River!
