Getting to Know ValerieGetting to know Valerie

Valerie has been with the Chamber and CVB since 2017, so many of you may recognize her name! Before she came to us, Valerie previously worked as cashier & as a substitute teacher. Born in Covington, she is a Georgia native and has lived all over our beautiful state. She moved to Hinesville in 2010 with her dad, and she loved her time here. Currently, she lives in Warner Robins, but she still does lots of great work for us here by working remotely!  Her family consists of her husband Quincy and their three children: Tai’yon Roman & Arya. The family also has a pet dog named Maya-Mae, who is an American bulldog & terrier mix.

What sort of tasks does Valerie do?

As the Finance Coordinator, Valerie plays a very vital and important role. Working in finance requires a tremendous amount of skill and attention to detail. Although the job can be difficult, and sometimes a little tedious, our Finance Coordinator Valerie Andrews knows her stuff! She handles a variety of day-to-day tasks such as:

  • Invoicing
  • Financial Reporting
  • Data Entry
  • Payment Processing
  • Contacting Chamber Members
  • New Member Intake
  • Categorizing Expenses

What does Valerie enjoy about her position?

“I truly love working with the business community. I love working with and meeting people that are working on their dreams. To be there in the beginning, and then see them flourish into something great is a wonderful thing to witness.”

Valerie’s favorite things about Liberty County

“I love the unity and growth in Liberty County. Where I come from, you have to know someone to be able to get a somewhat decent job. In Liberty County, you have a fighting chance to work where you want to work.  Also, I love going to place, new or old, and being greeted like we are good friends from almost everyone. You can definitely feel the love in Liberty!”

Are there any spots within Liberty County that you enjoy visiting outside of work?

“When I was local, I loved to take my kids to Bryant Commons. I worked on a project with Home Depot to help build the playground that is out there, so it is near and dear to my heart. I also enjoyed taking my kids to try and find the tree spirits.”

We are happy to have Valerie as a member of our team The Chamber is so thankful to have such a hard worker like Valerie on board! We hope you think she’s as awesome as we do!
