Live Like a Liberty County Local
In honor of National Travel and Tourism Week coming up on May 19-25, we wanted to share some of the best ways to live like a Liberty County local. With the help of some of our favorite people, we hand crafted a couple of itineraries. Keep reading to find out how to keep life simple with us!
ITINERARY 1

Morning
- Grab breakfast from the Jet Fuel Station. It might sound crazy, but their breakfast in a cup is absolutely delicious!
- Go for a walk at Bryant Commons. There is a playground, dog park and a catch-and-release pond that is perfect for fishing!
- Go shopping at Molly Maxine, Martin Mercantile, Southern Roots Boutique and Sass & Grace. A trip is never complete without a little bit of retail therapy!
- Lunch at Zum Rosenhof because who doesn’t love authentic German food?!
Afternoon
- Visit the ITPA Museum to see how telephones have changed over the last 100 years!
- Head to Doodles Billiards for a game of pool. A little friendly competition never hurt anybody!
- Dinner & drinks at Rodeo Mexican Restaurant is always a good idea. The margarita tower is sure to quench your thirst.
ITINERARY 2
Morning
- Go for a walk at Cay Creek with your 4-legged friends! The boardwalk is 7/10ths of a mile and features a lookout tower.
- Learn about military history and enjoy a beautiful view of St. Catherines Sound at Fort Morris State Historic Site! It’s the only revolutionary historic site in Georgia with original earth works.
- Eat lunch at Melody’s Coastal Café. We highly recommend the burgers and pizza!
Afternoon
- Put a kayak in the water and watch for dolphins at Jones Creek Park. It’s a great way to spend time relaxing along our intracoastal waterways.
- Have dinner and a couple of cold beverages at the Sunbury Crab Company. Fresh seafood and a beautiful view is the perfect combination for a great night.
- Watch the sunset at the Sunbury Boat Ramp. Don’t forget a chair and bug spray!

Morning
- Brunch and bubbly at The Yellow Bee is a must.
- Head over to Dawson’s General Store to get everything for your summer garden.
- Have a picnic lunch and go for a walk at James Brown Park.
Afternoon
- Visit the Hinesville Area Arts Council and check out the current exhibit on display. It changes every month, so you’ll be in for a surprise!
- Stop by the Hinesville Pharmacy and check out their awesome gift shop.
- Grab a rod and reel and go fishing at one of our favorite spots to cast a line.
- Try something new for dinner from Tazza Kabob Grillhouse. Their Afghan-Persian cuisine is refreshing and delicious!
- Watch the sunset or have a picnic at Eve Park. Spending time on the coast is medicine for your soul.

Morning
- Take your dog on a stroll at the Historic Baptismal Trail and learn about the history of the Gullah Geechee culture.
- Go on a shopping spree at Dawson’s General Store. Their boutique offers options for men, women and children! Don’t forget to go out back and pet the farm animals while you’re there.
- Pick up happy hour supplies at Bootleggers Package Store.
Afternoon
- Grab a low country boil platter from the Walthourville Meat Market. It’s delicious!
- Enjoy play time at Irene B. Thomas Park with the kiddos.
- Get a sweet treat at Delectable Fruits and Scoops to cool off from a day of fun!
