1) Try Out Some of Our Local Restaurants!

Visiting somewhere you’ve never been gives you the chance to try new food options! Please support our local restaurants the next time you decide to #ExploreLiberty. With delicious food and unique touches we hope you indulge in authentic German food at Zum Rosenhof, fried shrimp tacos at Melody’s Coastal Café, Jamaican cuisine from Good to Go or some classic southern BBQ from the Smokin’ Pig!

Zum Rosenhof2) Make a Pot of Low Country Boil.

Fresh seafood is a way of life in the South! It is more than just a menu item for us. Catching our own crab, fish and shrimp is one of our favorite pastimes around here! They have a major influence on the foods we eat and how we prepare and share those delicious bites. Nothing says southern quite like a steaming pot of low country boil. It’s not a meal to pass up any time you’re offered! Get your boiling pot ready and use our guide to prepare a Liberty County Low Country Boil.

Even though it’s not super cold outside, it’s still a great time to have bonfires with friends and family. You can tell old stories, pick the guitar and relax with a cold beverage. Sit back and enjoy that perfect coastal sunset while keeping yourself warm by the fire.

Cold beverages not your cup of tea? Warm up with one of our favorite beverages straight from Germany.

Visit the Sunbury Crab Company and rent a kayak to enjoy a beautiful day on the water. There is direct access to our Intracoastal waterways, so be sure to watch out for the tides. Relax in the sun on a beautiful day by venturing out into the marsh. When you come back in from the day on the water, grab a table and order some fresh seafood and a cold beverage! Pro Tip: Remember to make a reservation.

Do you already have your own kayak? Paddle around at some other awesome spots!
