Lilly’s Life at a Glance
Originally from Napa Valley, California Lilly Enright now serves as the Tourism Program Specialist for the Liberty County Convention of Visitors Bureau (LCCVB). “Before moving here, my family lived in Oahu, Hawaii, and then touched down here in Liberty County. My husband is on active duty with the United States Army and got orders to be stationed here,” she said.
Lilly’s family consists of her husband Joshua, an Army medic who also serves as an EMT in Liberty and Wayne Counties and volunteers as a firefighter. Together, they have one beautiful daughter, Parker Mae, who is almost three years old. Of course, their family would not be complete without their wonderful fur babies: Tito, the “junkyard dog” from Hawaii; Barrette and Blue, both are blue heelers; and Cash, a blue tick hound.
Life before joining the Chamber team
“I used to be a pastry chef in Napa and then worked at hotels and restaurants in Hawaii. As a pastry chef, I loved bringing my creativity into my dishes. I used to make a beautifully deconstructed strawberry shortcake, and I absolutely loved the combination of strawberry, rhubarb and Chantilly cream on a fluffy white cake. It was topped with candied pistachios and sugar crystals,” she recalled.
What sort of tasks do you do each day?
“My work day is different every day! From planning our Spouse Bus Tours for the spouses on Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, to posting flyers on our website! I also plan our tables for the Newcomers events on Fort Stewart, and I help around the office,” she explained. Her job allows her to gain a unique insight into our vibrant community and allows her to better help others discover all the wonderful things Liberty County has to offer.
What does Lilly enjoy about her position?
“I really enjoy being able to work with the soldiers and spouses on Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Air Field. Being a military wife myself and not having been able to enjoy the same opportunities that we [Liberty County] offer vs. any place my family has ever been stationed, it’s very rewarding to teach and show off our community and what we have to offer,” she said.
Lilly’s favorite things about Liberty County
“My favorite thing about Liberty County is that there is always something to do. The weather is pretty much always nice. I personally don’t mind the heat, and I love being outside. I love all the parks we have here and so does my daughter,” she explained.
We are happy to have Lilly as a team member and are very thankful for all the hard work she puts into helping people #ExploreLiberty daily. We know you will think she is as awesome as we do!
