We’re sure you’ve worked up an appetite by now, which means it’s the perfect time to pop into Zum Rosenhof German Restaurant and grab a bite to eat for lunch. If you’ve never had authentic German cuisine, you’re in for a treat. Everything on the menu is delicious. You’ve gotta try the pretzel served with beer cheese! It’s our favorite.

Start your day the right way with pancakes, grits, bacon or an omelet from Angie’s Diner! You definitely won’t leave hungry. This spot is a local favorite, and they have an amazing breakfast buffet every Saturday. Don’t forget to order a cup of coffee to wash it all down!
Enjoy the great outdoors!
- Visit the Historic Baptismal Trail in Riceboro to walk along the path that was a sacred holy place for over 100 years. There is a boardwalk with signage along the way to teach you about the history of the site.
- Cay Creek Wetlands Interpretive Center in Midway is also complete with a boardwalk that is 7/10ths of a mile long, as well as a lookout tower. As you make your way down the path, you will walk through several different freshwater and saltwater ecosystems. You won’t run out of things to see here!
Grab lunch at Melody’s Coastal Cafe.
With a wide range of menu items, you will not leave hungry! Everything on the menu is delicious, although the burgers are our personal favorite. If you’re lucky enough to stop by on a Saturday, they’re now serving brunch complete with bottomless mimosas! Who can say no to that?
Soak up the sun with a relaxing afternoon on the coast.
The Sunbury Boat Ramp is a favorite local spot. Don’t let the word boat stop you! The pier is great for enjoying a sunrise or sunset and fishing. Bring a chair along and relax while letting the salty breeze blow through your hair.
Finish your weekend by enjoying dinner with a coastal view!
The Sunbury Crab Company serves up fresh caught seafood every day. The fried shrimp and Georgia blue crab are to die for. Check out their daily specials, and make sure to order dessert! You will need a reservation if you’re planning to eat here, so book online or call ahead of time to secure your spot.
