#1) Visit the petting zoo at Dawson’s General Store.
They’ve got all of the goats, baby chicks and farm animals your heart desires!
#2) Visit the Hinesville Area Arts Council.
The exhibit features local artists and changes each month.
#3) Have a photoshoot!

#4) See the world’s largest crayon at Keep Liberty Beautiful.
In 2008, 119,000 crayons were collected, and Liberty County became a Guinness World Record Holder!
#5) Take photos in front of Liberty County’s only mural.
It is in downtown Hinesville on the side of the Hinesville Area Arts Council building and makes the perfect backdrop for a photo.
#6) Indulge in military history at Fort Morris State Historic Site.
It is the only revolutionary historic site in Georgia with original earth works!
#7) Browse around the Hinesville Farmers Market in Bradwell Park.
It takes place every Thursday from 3-7pm starting from March until October.
#8) Visit a Liberty County Park.

#12) Cast a line at the Sunbury Boat Ramp.
Liberty County is one of six coastal counties in Georgia, so we have several places for y’all to check out.
#13) Explore Cay Creek Wetlands Interpretive Center.
Make your way down the boardwalk and discover 8 different ecosystems.
#14) Put your kayak in the water & paddle along intracoastal waterways.
Sit back and relax while you float down our intracoastal waterways. Enjoy this list of popular spots to launch from!
#15) Walk along the Historic Baptismal Trail.
It was an active holy place for over 100 years, so it holds lots of history! Learn more when you visit from the signage dispersed throughout the trail.
#16) See the mysterious tree spirits on Barrington Ferry Road in Riceboro.

#17) Take a boat ride out to our barrier island.
Make friends with someone who has a boat because that’s the only way to get out to St. Catherines Island! If you are able to visit, stay on the shore of the island because the interior of the island is only for invited guests.
#18) Hunt for historic markers.
Spend the day learning about the history that has made us who we are! There are almost 100 markers around the county. Can you find them all?!
#19) Visit one of our public libraries.
The Live Oak Public Library is a great place to spend some quiet time, and we have 2 locations throughout the county! Check them out below.
